A B de Villiers says good bye to international cricket

Someone wrote on social media, ‘Wagon wheels will never be complete again’, one of the most decorated modern Greats of Cricketing world Mr. 360 announced his retirement from international cricket few days ago. Of course I am talking about AB de Villiers’ retirement. It literally came out as a kind of surprise for cricket fans around the globe. It is hard to grab the fact that a glittering star of international cricket will no longer be shining on the cricketing horizons. His carrier has been a treat to watch. His batting records reflect his immense display of talent and promise. Few of his prominent records are, world’s fastest ODI fifty (50), fastest ODI hundred (100) and fastest ODI (150). Others include fastest test century by a South African, fastest T-20 international fifty by a South African. He initialized his carrier as wicket keeper batsman but later he played as batsman. He was definitely one of the most creative batsman of modern history. His cheeky short making has been a treat to watch. His shorts over fine leg to third man region has always been a subject of great entertainment. He scored twenty two (22) test and twenty five (25) ODI centuries. He made his test debut vs England at St George's Park, Dec 17, 2004. He played his last Test vs Australia at New Wanderers Stadium, Mar 30, 2018. He scored 8765 runs in 114 test matches at the average of 50.66. His best score in test cricket was 278. He made his ODI debut vs England at Mangaung Oval, Feb 02, 2005. He played his Last ODI vs India at SuperSport Park, Feb 16, 2018. He scored 9577 runs in 228 one day internationals at the average of 53.5 and strike rate of 101.1.his best ODI score was 176. He made his T 20 debut vs Australia at The Wanderers Stadium, Feb 24, 2006. He played his Last T 20 vs Bangladesh at Senwes Park, Oct 29, 2017. He scored 1672 in 78 T twenty internationals at the average of 26.12 and strike rate of 135.17. His best score in T twenty was 79. He had a decorated carrier evident from his stats.  I wonder why he left too soon. May be he is trying to adopt a new carrier as we know he is s good singer also. Only time will tell what is next for this great sportsman. I wish best of luck and great success for this man in his future.

eye opener for Pakistanis

Pakistan Peoples Party a realistic view of their recent political profile

Pakistan People party is also geared up for election 2018. The leasers of this party are believed to be expert in making deals. We sew a systematic display of what happened in the Senate elections regardless of the alleged use of money. They founded the federal government in 2008 elections which was followed by pmln in 2013 elections. Their course to power in 2008 was kind of accidental one as it is believed the death of Benazir Bhutto paved the way for sympathy vote in their favor. Now a days every political leader seems to be taking credit for so called 18th amendment. We need to think about what was the possible intention behind this amendment? One reason emerges is the transfer of power to the provinces which is good one. But the counter argument is the fact that they are known for victimizing their political opponents by suspending development funds of their opposition MPAs. Why would they dedicate powers to their opposition parties in other provinces? There is another reason which seems most likely is the fact that they realized that they will not be able to form government in the federal capital so something should be done to maintain the control of Sindh province. Their federal government has been the subject of many allegations and much less has been done to investigate those issues. One little incident is the fact that they provided unlawful approach to thousands of black water agents threatening the national security. Another big question is the controversial transfer of Surrey palace to Asif Zardari. The memo gate scandal is another matter of national security which was not properly investigated. The unwillingness of PPP government to probe the Pakistani money abroad, especially Swiss banks raised many questions of their intentions. Illegal appointments of their political workers regardless of merit conditions paved the way for destruction of national institutions like PIA WAPDA, Pakistan Steel etc. the nail in the coffin was the introduction of rental power plants to overcome the power shortage which destabilized the reserves of the country.
They have been ruling in Sindh for last 10 years. The situation inside the Sindh Province is terrible according to media reports despite mega claims made by PPP leaders. The incident of child deaths inside Thar is still not well answered by anyone. The people inside Sindh are living in miserable conditions according to international surveys. The basic facilities like education, health, clean water are rare. The influx of development funds of Karachi into unknown direction is another question never we addressed. Those responsible of turning Karachi into garbage can are still to be determined. The responsible for shortage of water and poor quality of water are still to be determined. The miserable lives of poor Sindhi people under JagirDar system has been a burning question for human right activists. No one seems to be thinking about addressing this problem. Thousands of extra judicial killings by Sindh police across the Sindh province under political influence is another question not answered properly. The constant threat of cheating in examination halls across the Sindh province has been consistently downgrading overall education quality. It is also massively discouraging for hardworking poor students. I wonder what kind of culture they have been promoting under their rule. If you try to explore the situation in Sindh Province, it will give you nothing but massive headaches, epidemics and target killings. I hope that people of Sindh will keep these incident in mind when they come out for voting on Election Day.
The current election campaign of PPP is rather full of statements. The mist surprising one is the efforts to take the credit for the current improvement in law and order in Karachi by completely undermining the efforts of law enforcement agencies i.e. police, rangers and even public martyrs. They always seemed reluctant to extend the special authorities of Rangers. They had very little role in initializing operation cleanup in Karachi. Another miserable thing some of senior PPP leaders say in their public gatherings in Sindh the comparison of PTI with MQM. Even people from inside their party disagree with this narrative. It literally shows the frustration of PPP as they have nothing to show in front of people in terms of performance. In their political gatherings they claim to be the last saviors of the nation’s future but in my sense the greatest thing they did to this country was breaking it into two pieces. What should we expect from them in next terms? Another questions is how PPP leaders can use Zulfiqar Bhutto’s performance for their election campaign despite the fact that they have ruled the country at lead twice after Bhutto regime. Why don’t they count on their own performances? Seem like people are right that PPP politics are based on a dead man. Surely because the present generation of PPP politicians don’t have much to express in front of the nation in terms of performance. Only the time will tell how much successful or unsuccessful they will be in the election using their current narrative. I hope that the people will keep the realities in mind when they visit the polling station

The Reality of PMLN in Punjab and Federal government

Election 2018 are around the corner and all political parties are expressing their planes of nation development to the public. This is happening after the successful completion of 2nd   successive democratic government in Pakistan which will transfer powers to the next government through general elections. It’s important for us to have a look at the action planes and slogans of major political forces inside the country keeping in mind their previous performances. These major political forces are Pakistan Tahreek-a-Insaf lead by Imran Khan, Pakistan Muslim League Nwaz lead be Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan People Party lead by Bilawal and Zardari. There are other regional players like Pak Sarzameen Party lead by Mustafa Kamal, MQM Pakistan, Mutahida Majlis-a-Amal lead by Maulana Fazlurrahman and Baluchistan Awami Party. If you read every party’s manifesto, it looks like a good action plane on paper. They seem to be very positive and productive. But the major issue is the proper implementation of these action planes which always have been very doubtful. Let’s take a critical look at which party is standing where in terms of their accomplished promises and what are they offering for next term.I will start from the current ruling party in the federal government and country’s biggest province Punjab. Their main focus has been on infrastructure development in Particular areas of the province. The GT road belt has always been their center of attention as their main vote bank also resides here. Last year I had chance to visit Jhang for some work. I was staying at a place few kilometers ahead of city near Malumor on Multan road. The first impression of the area was like I have traveled 100 years back in time. Dusty roads, naked kids running on the streets and so much more even unmentionable. One of my friends fell ill one night and we failed to find even a first aid medical facility in 20 km radius. This will take too long to narrate such incidents so let’s get back to our focal point.
What happened during Nwaz Sharif's journey from Islamabad to Lahore through G T road  was a scar on Humanity.

Punjab comprises of almost 50% population of Pakistan. 110 million people live here. Approximately less than 40 % of its population lives along G T road belt. The increased interests of pmln government suggests that they have been constantly neglecting other 50 to 60 % population of the province. We are also aware of the tragedy that the literacy rate of Pakistan stumbled from 60% to 58% in recent years. Punjab government has to be blamed for this fully or partially for not prioritizing education in the biggest Province of country. Even their federal government has been ever reducing the budgets for education as compared to other commodities. One clear example is the deduction in the budget of Higher Education Commission resulting in suppressing its abilities to promote higher education in the country.  It is a general opinion today that pmln government is expert in impressing illiterate public by making big structures. But it seems like the time has changed now as people are more aware of their civil rights than ever. This has resulted in constant shrinkage in their circle of influence. The question arises here that what is their strategy for the next elections. People are pretty much aware about their kickbacks in mega projects and grand wastage of tax payer money by establishing 56 companies in the Province. They have been ruling the nation for thirty years with few gapes and now they are asking for another term to make the difference. In last election campaign they insisted on eradicating power deficit in the country but they terribly failed to make it happen. Their second major pledge was to bring back all the looted money abroad especially from Swiss banks and they terribly failed to fulfill this pledge too.

It is strange to hear pmln leader talking about converting Pakistani cities into European cities while they failed to do it in their last four terms. In fact their speeches has completely been ignoring the people of countryside. Seems like they don’t have any plane for these village people ever. Another point to ponder is that the world is suffering from the issue of urbanization and we seem to be promoting it. Is that provides any favor to Pakistan? As for as my thinking is concerned I consider these as senseless proclamations. What I have been noticing is the increased intensity of pmln jalsas across the country. Why they are in so much hurry? Why they cannot wait for the arrival of neutral setup? May it is because they want to ensure the maximum use of government machinery and tax payer money for their election campaign. It will not be possible once their term is over. Pmln leaders are not giving any clear road map to the public. They are confusing them by strange statements. They seem to be trying to build something out of nothing. Apparently their talks are nothing but hate speeches. It’s very painful to see some people who are well informed are supporting their false narrative. Even some people claim that politicians should not target each other through NAB and other courts. My question to these so called scholars is are political leaders above the laws of accountability? Are they not required to be honest and loyal to hold public seats?? Come on this is nonsense. In recent incidents Pmln leaders seem to be creating chaos in the country to nullify their accountability process. On the moral grounds they feel politically suppressed by their opposition. This is not a democratic behavior. They have gone to some dangerous levels of insurgency. It is potentially painful to see the approach of the ruling party of my country and I wish they realize soon that they are making a mistake. So pmln is going into general election 2018 with all these scars on their performance profiles. It will be interesting to find out that how general public will react at their strange election campaign in the general election. I hope that the people of Punjab will keep the realities in mind when they come out for casting their vote on the Election Day. Next time i will try to elaborate the performance of PPP at provincial and federal level.
